see that was the 1/8 mile and those cars are quick in the 1/8 same with those damn subaru's. But in the 1/4 more or less the lightning will take it, of course depending on mods. At englishtown i constantly pull 1.74-1.77 and they still take the 1/8 but after that their in my rear view.

Since you know little about turbos they are not a ricer mod. Even a smallest turbo / motor set up can beniefit from a BOV. It lets the extra pressure out to take stess off the turbo. By doing this you increase the life of the turbo.
Have you ever heard a turbo set up with out one? It sounds like a tukey gobble....Not good!

All modern turbo cars have a blow off valve stock from the factory. The difference is that the factory BOV's are a recirculating style. What I call a poser BOV is the guys running a stock turbo with a BOV that vents to atmospere. Completely unnecessary with a stock turbo. They just make noise. My STi I run a 50/50 BOV. At low boost is recirculates. At high boost it vents to atmospere. Also not running a stock turbo so in my case it is needed.
