street raced subaru

had one of these subaru turbos egg me on as he drove by , i caught up to him at the next light and itb was on , his car was making this pssssh sound loud every time he got on it ,the light changed i lost traction then let off then back on again and i pulled ahead of him by a truck length ,then had to slow for trafic , we went again from a30 mph roll and i took him again by the same , then they yelled over nice truck gave me thumbs up , they were surprised to say the least.

maybe the turbo blow-off valve.

WHen it makes boost, and then they let off the gas to shift, the blow off valve opens and allows the pressure to escape.

If you ever line up next to a subie making that noise it is one of two things:

1. The guy doesn't know what he's doing, BOV's are like $350 and do next to nothing for an STi or WRX...so you will probably beat him.

or (hopefully doesnt happen)

2. The guy has a bigger turbo (therefore needs a BOV) and is about to woop the sh*t out of you.

Very true. The BOV's are a #1 poser mod. As stated above if the car really needs it watch out.

Good stuff......different outcome for me though. The guy beat me by about two car lengths. That SOB was fast......AWD is a beaatch. I'm stock, so just about anything that is modded will get me.

Still fun to race though

not really...... I thought it was a great game!!!! UF!!!!!

But the truck in this story is far from a "lightly modded" Lightning .

i'm sure their quick but one never bet my L and i'm mildly modded with only a 4lb and some other mods. I did run a 12.49 @ 111 the other day however. Maybe one never bet me because i saw mostly girls driving that car.

Right click save as:

This one beat me, from what he says he just has a few bolt ons. I have a lot of bolt ons, and I'm running slicks. I ran a 7.71 to his 7.60. Another local guy with a EVO is running 8.1 with what he says is just a K&N filter.
