man yally should have seen hius first run that day! he pulled the front tires to about 45 degrees and went to let em back down and as the front end was comming down b4 the tires even hit the ground he punched it again and it lifted and dragged the rear bumper. he just about bit the wal though but somehow pulled it off. it was AMAZING!. there was a black one there just like his, i heard they were buddies. i loved that track at noble, it hooked really good and the people were amazing.

ya it was the 11th anual buick vs ford shoot out and it was all tied up 55. we has something like 96 races. basicly everyone got as many qualifying runs as they wanted(or could get in with almost 200 cars) and then at a buick was faced against a ford heads up and they went slowest to fastest (i qualified 32nd out of 96). ford ofcourse won by 3. all in all it was a great experience for me, my first time at an nhra track and a big event, really wish i had some slicks since i was the only person on street tires but it was prepped good so it wasnt toooooo bad. but us fords were in a sea of gs and gn's.

I may be wrong but I think all GNs were turbo charged. At least all I have seen were. The T-Type was the "poor" mans version of the GN. It was cheaper interior, etc, but same body, running gear and turbo as GN. I used to race against a T-Type back in 1988 and 1989. I had(still do) a 54 Ford F-100 with a 351 Clev. We ran each other almost every weekend. He was awesome out of the hole and was very quick for an 1/8 mile. I would pass him on the top end as he would run out of engine with the V-6. They were fun cars but truck was more fun!
