...since I last cleaned my intercooler and now it looks like this again.

I installed a PCV valve kit that Rob uses and a oil seperator when I last cleaned it and yet I still got oil. In fact, I think it looked worst this time. Oh well, I got it all cleaned up and replaced the PCV system with valve breathers.

After spending a few hours of cleaning, everthing looks much better.

Hopefully it will stay that way. Damn Ford.

his 30 min i believe he meant that's what it takes once you pull it to clean it up. it takes much longer to pull the supercharger & intercooler, clean it and reinstall everything. it is not hard to do, and it's not fun. allow a good 3-4 hrs or so for your first time for all that. some may take less, some more.

About 15K-16K miles. I use good ole Moble 1 5W-30. I run a 4# lower with a Airaid intake. Don't know how fast RPM wise that is though.

just a FYI if you dont do anything to the drivers side pcv line you will still get oil sucked up in there...

But the cute little spearators are a joke. And the L&S, ill leave that one alone.

Its a 100 something dollar oil separator like the others, it just drains back into the valve cover. Think it comes with a new oil cap that a hose conects to and the other end to the separator.... Nothing special but others seem to think so. Yet all these kits forget about the drivers side and oil comes from that. So These people that do "research" on these setups dont look at the drivers side.
