Finaly a 12 for me in Texas

Went to the track tonight and finaly got me a 12.

I have a 99L with 20"s (305/40/R20 Nitto 444), ARE bed cover (108 lb's), tow package, spare, sway bar, 60lb's worth of stereo box.

Times:

1.89 - 60
8.1 - 1/8
12.7 - 1/4
MPH - 106

Track temp was 51 degress.

There were to other L's out there that ran very well.

Clay (RED92) ran a best of....I'm sure he'll post.

My mods are: 4lb lower, Steige blower, CAI and RWTD tune.

I am very pleased with my numbers. What do you guys think?

jboss10........Congrats of getting your 12.7

sure sounds like if you lost a few of those extra pounds, you got a mid 12 truck

Rob,

Yeah the first one is the BOMB!! I was determined to have a 12 second truck with everything on it. My 20"s are about 20lbs per tire heavier than stock. I even had some of my work stuff in the cab (catalogs). Anyway,

it was a fun night. I only ran twice. The first was a 13.1 with a 2.1-60'

It was a good night My 3 runs

12.35 @ 110.78 1.81
12.37 @ 110.92 1.83
12.30 @ 111.75 1.86 BEST first pass

heres the time slip from my last pass of the night. It was against a turboed LS1 WS6 that called me out.... we both sleep off the line and his bad reaction let me stay about 3-4 car lengths ahead the entire pass.

there was a 06 Z06 at the track also... his first run was his best 12.0 @ 125 and his other 20 passes progressively got worse, mid to high 12's .....he would'nt heat his tire and would spin...

Todd (Txoutlaw) ran a 12.8 @ 107 and there was another 03 lightning with a chip and filter that ran a 13.6 @100

That was some good stuff! Both you and Clay laid down some nice numbers. I'm still in shock over your 12.7 with those big azz 20" wheels and all the extra weight. Congrats on your 12.7 and see you next time!

Very nice numbers! I actually thought about driving up Wednesday night but decided on Friday. We need to get everyone together and have an "All Lightning" Hooters/Track night. That would be a blast.

for the few mods I have, I doubt I can squeeze anything more from it.

3lb Lower
E-Fan Kit
SCT w/100oct tune
Torque Bars
DOT Hoosiers
FTVB

on my Red '01 L I had same mods except a 4lb and T-Body and Cone Filter Kit. Got me 12.29 @ 110.55 at HRP on a chilly night
