Show me your trailers!

As the title says.....I'm just kinda looking for info on open car trailers for my Lightning. I'd like an aluminum one, to save weight, but I'm not sure about the money. Soooo, tell me about your trailer, what brand, where you got it, how you like it.

Here's mine....

Nothing special...its a Pullers Pride I bought used this year. 7000 Lb. trailer with surge brakes. It is 18 ft long....total length. 16 ft with a 2 ft dove tail. I used it to pull my truck out to lightningfest, it pulled well behind a diesel. Oh...it is 80" wide between the fenders which allows the truck to go up with no problems. I put my truck on a 72" and the tires rubbed the wheel wells all the way on the trailer.

cant find any pics of the open trailer or the 26' us cargo but here's my current setup.

if you have the towing capacity i highly recommend that you get an enclosed trailer. you get added security(lock your personal things up while making a pass) and shelter if it starts to rain.

I do not know how to attach pictures, but I have a 2006 Model Load Trail 18 Foot Car Hauler, is has ( 2 ) 5200 Lb Axles ( 10,400 Lb G.V.W.R. ) The Lightning fits on there great and is easy to load/unload. I pull it with a 05 Superduty 4x4 CC Powerstroke 6.0L Diesel, the diesel laughs at pulling this set-up

Here is a link, I paid around $ 2500.00 New + Tax

I'm with rdy2rac. It's nice to have the ability to secure all your stuff. I also sleep in mine when I'm at a track with shower facilities. That saves a good bit of cash. Here's a couple pics of my 28' Pace Daytona.

WOW! You guys got some nice rigs! I REALLY want a powerstroke to pull with...but I'm just trying to budget all my funds.
Lets see.....
Need a house #1 Priority!
Need/want a work/winter truck
want a built motor for the L
want a trailer to pull it on

I have a lot of expenses ahead of me, but I have been saving my nickels and dimes, and know I can afford to take on all those challenges at once. (Just won't be able to buy food!!!

A nice f350 powerstroke will pull a 28-30ft bumper pull trailer anywhere you wanna go. Id also recomend geting torsion axles on the trailer instead of the spring type. And stick with a name brand on trailers you get what u pay for.

Here is a pic of my Worthington 18 ft aluminum trailer.

it was originally bought by HDMLINIUM (Bill) through FoMoCo (Jamie) then Jim @ JDM had it and I bought it from him.

It tows great. I actually get a lot of compliments on it (more then I ever thought an open trailer would ever get).
I had the opportunity to get a 26 ft. enclosed (my bro stopped racing dirt modified) but I actually prefer this. Very easy to move around and convenient enough to use for other projects.
I definately would recommend it.

Thought you might. After all, I stole the idea from your dad.

Vin....thanks bud! Thats actually exactly what I had in mind. I LOVE that trailer. I'm going to check now to see if worthington has a web site with specs and prices. But if they don't or if you have some free time, can you shoot me an email with a model number and stuff? You said Jamie hooked that up for Bill? I wonder if he can still get them? I was bummed when I found out Jim sold you that rig....I would have loved to buy the truck and trailer too!
