Cool Houston Autocross

Nathan -

Are you still planning on doing the Houston SCCA autocross in February. The Supercross is scheduled for Saturday night (2/5) in the Astrodome. Is the autocross on Saturday or Sunday?

Hey six,

Sorry to barge in on your thread, but
that sounds like a killer weekend.
Watching some high flying Supercross
and driving autocross to boot. Let me
know what you find out if Nathan
e-mails you instead of responding on
this board.

Houston is not TOO bad of a drive for
us. I think it would be worth it.

Collin -

Not a problem. Looks like the autocross is on Sunday the 6th. See the attached link. If I could throw HRP in on Friday night, I'd be maxed out. Let's see Drag racing on Friday, Supercross on Saturday, and SCCA autocross on Sunday...

ROAD TRIP!

I still plan on being there for the autocross. But, with all the other events it looks like I might make it a weekend!

Hey guys... I'm a little confused... I went to the site in the link above... Then went to see what Street Class the L would be in. (I was curious as to what our competition is...) I cannot find the L, or any trucks for that matter... Even in the Street Touring Unlimited, only "vehicles eligible to compete in the six regular Street Touring Classes" are allowed to compete.

Are you guys going to run something other than your L's?

LightningDammitt -

The SCCA event I entered last November classified my Lightning as F-stock. This is the same class that most Camaros and Mustangs run in.

Good morning fellas,

Is the autocross just a parking lot with a course setup with cones or is it actually on a racetrack with a few cones setup to slow you done on the fast parts of the track? In Memphis, we run on the road course at Memphis Motorsports Park with no cones to slow us down...it is pretty cool.

Also, are we for sure on all the different things going on...I would like to find out for sure if we could actually do the Friday (HRP), Sat. (Supercross), and Sun. (autocross). Who lives in Houston that could find out for sure?

Thanks all,

Collin

If the weather looks decent, I'm probably going to HRP on Friday and will be staying for the autocross on Sunday. I'm itching to get a real 1/4 time. This 1/8 mile stuff is killing me.

Hey Sixpipes,
I would love to see your truck. Let me know when you will be there so maybe we can hook up. I still have not really seen a "L" up close, let alone here one. I especially want to see that hood of yours.

I think I can't resist meeting up with a few f150onliners for a few days!

Anyone driving thru College Station on the way? We'll start another convoy!

I also need some f150online flyers.... Any such thing? Lots of nice rides in this area... I've been told that I'm one of three Lightnings. Everybody knows I drive the fastest(white) one. Two blacks are rumored in addition to me!

Wyldman -

If the weather is decent next weekend in Houston, I'm planning on being at HRP on Friday night (2/4). If my billet grille is finished by Thursday, I will probably bring it with me and try to install it on Saturday (I'll have time to kill before the Supercross on Saturday night). Are you going to be around on Saturday? I could probably use an extra hand.
