question about Predator and transmission durability

Can a performance tune be installed w/o causing premature wear of the transmission? At what point do you need to change the valve body? Sorry for the simple question but I am a lifetime Mustang guy who just bought a Lightning and haven't yet acquired the necessary information on these BAD A$$ trucks!!!!!!!

I am a true believer that the valve body is the way to go for harder shifts as apposed to the tune pressure adjustments.

On both my '03 and '99 I did the valve body immediately. I actually like the JLP one that I just installed - perfect shift in my opinion.

The other point is a predator or any other tune doesn't necessarily have to impact the transmission other than obvious hp and torque gains. I had 496/562 at the rear for 12,000 miles with a greg evans valve body and not one problem.

I think there are other L brothers with higher hp and torque with the original trans.
