STUPID lighting owners

so some guy in a lighting pulls up next to me at a light wensday night. asks what i got done i told him upper pulley filter chip and cat back. told him it runs 12.7@107 he says "thats it" ,claimed to run 12.2 on street tires on 10lbs. i asked if that was a 10lb lower... he said yes. i told him thats about 18lbs he looked at his boost gauge on his stock cluster and said no thats 10. truck was still on stock exhaust and everything. if he ran 12.2 he'd be willing to line up next to me to run umm be he wouldnt....

Anything above 11 in a streetable vehicle is nothing to brag about. A stock $9,000 99 ls1 camaro, with the right driver, can get those numbers.

Who cares. If the person doesnt want to run, he is all talk.

Man them stupid a$$ "lighting" owners. You would think one who has a Lightning of his own would know how to spell it. And no you cant claim you fat fingered the keys because you did it twice. Sorry man just had to do it.

Totally nonrelated but on the same topic of stupid people. Ever year we have a company cook-out/outing with a small car show. Last year I had my 03 Cobra with a dyno sheet of 594/510 with the car. One guy actually asked me how often and where I take it up to 594mph.

"Just once but, it was for an hour."
"I think I ended up in Ohio."

Wake up and smell the coffee. We already have a bad name. The average Lightning owner IQ is below room temperature. In Celcius.

Guess what.......WRONG!!!!!!

MAYBE LOW 13's but you certainly aint going to hit 12.7's in an ls1 that is STOCK. And if you want to talk cheap, 9000 bucks.....whats a 99 Lightning go for? 14grand? So your 9 grand isn't that far off. As for not being anything to brag about....Are you kidding? A pick up with a few bolt ons that runs 12's isn't something to brag about? Ok, so an ls1 may be cheaper, and faster...but come on now! Whats more cool?

And the ones that break triple digits are either lawyers or truck drivers. What a waste.

These days there are alot of strete cars out there running 12's easy.

You need to bring more to the table than that if you want to be competitive.

Then again, if all your friends drive civics, you're sitting pretty.
