more important than the 15 horses (easy to make up) they're talking YELLOW!!! Woohoooooo

I'd trade my 99 black bolt for yellow any day..

Injection is nice, but I'd rather be blown. 99 Lightning, the best of both worlds!

I was a little let down. All the hype on BON like "If you think the 1995 or 1999 Lightning F150 is awesome, just wait until the 2001.5 Lighting appears this November! You ain't see nothin' yet.".

Sorry but 15 hp is basically cleaning up the intake and the exhaust and/or changing the program. Oh well, at least the $2000 price bump and the perception that it's significantly more powerfull will keep the value high on ours.

BTW, they made a mistake when describing the colors.

Quote:

"The Ontario Truck Plant's build complexity will remain unchanged as their will continue to be one interior and three exterior colors. Yellow has been mentioned as a possible replacement for white. Yellow Lightnings have been seen on Dearborn streets and employees from the Ontario truck plant have reported making yellow prototypes. Whether yellow is added to the 2001's selection doesn't change the fact that Ford will only offer three exterior colors for the 2001.5."

They should compare their "secret" documents with current fact. The last time I checked they were building the Lightning in 4 colors!

I seriously doubt they will drop white. It's more likely that they will expand the colors just like they did with the Cobra.

I'm a little suprised that a group that is so plugged into Ford products would get some basic facts wrong.

After reading their 2001.5 specs, I'll stick w/ my '00 order since it'll be more of a commuter vehicle (i.e. fuel efficient). J/K

But really, for ~$500, I'm gettin' the chip/filter combo which will more than make up the 15hp. I like all of the lenses as well, as the rims, on the 2000s just fine. Besides, can I wait 'til October? No way!

The only question now is Superchip or PSP? (I'm not tryin' to start any arguments here)

Does anybody here think they will make a Job 1 date of October..... Not likely so your right not to wait.

Both chips seem to work as advertised but I lean towards the PSP, mostly because I like to support the little guy whenever I can and he does take a lot of pride in his work.

I'll be placing my order for the 2001.5. Not for the HP gain, but just for a change since it is my daily driver right now. I think the new lenses and grills will make it more different than the rest of the f150's. And YELLOW....Gotta have it!
If the HP increase is claimed to be just 15, everyone knows that it could be more jsut like the advertised 360 now.
