Went by the dealer just on the off chance that he might have a build date. No luck, no surprise. But he did have build "dates" of 2/14/2000 for Lightnings ordered back in early December when he said the system first started accepting those orders. He was also positive that production was starting on the 14th and that the system showed no holds on any of the orders for parts, etc. He also stated that production is scheduled by the week and not the day. In other words those vehicles with build "dates" of the 14th could actually be built anytime that week. Also he said that they update the information regarding builds every Thursday but to remember that the production run varies in terms of speed. I think I got all of that right.

ArcLight, my truck is being build Monday 02/07/2000 (or tues or wed or ....). And god knows I'm not special, so builts have to start on or before 02/07, I have heard that builting started 01/31 in no uncertain Term.
They are on schedule, you dealer first order likely falls on 02/14, so that is the earliest build date he see, that why he think built is 02/14.

Anyone know if lightnings are batch or broadcast built?

 

I just got an email from my dealer informing me that my L had been released from the plant and was sent to shipping.

I can see the light, but the wait and agony continues...

 

WiteSVTLite...Trade my build date for yours and say 10 bucks or so. Come on be a nice guy!
