WideBand Question...

Is the WideBand w/ the black gauge new? I may be interested.

Yes, brand new. It was ordered for a local speed shop who had their customer back out. I usually stock the white face, but not the black. Let me know if you'd like it.

but it's rare that a blown rod motor damages the heads.
Really? I would think it would be opposite. Do the rods usually break on the power down stroke?

I've yet to see a Lightning motor with a blown rod damage a head. the rods break at the crank end, usually with the piston towards the bottom of the cylinder. Then on the next crank revolution, the journal knocks the remaining rod end out the side of the block.

nice

hopefully if anything ever happens to my motor I can be that lucky

I figured the piston would chute right up at the head and destroy the valves.

We also have a stock 03 long block with the 8 thread heads for sale that we are selling for a customer. It's got 13k on it, and this truck was tuned in person by myself while the stock motor was in it. It's crated up and ready to be shipped or picked up locally. Asking $2200 or best offer.
