You know, it sounds like we have enough musicians in here for a Lightning band. I play keys - spent 6 years in a band tickling the ivories. Don't play much any more. Definitely burned out on the whole gigging scene.

Christy - Surf around on enough of the web sites and you can find pictures of a half-naked young woman sprawled across the hood of a Lightning. That was taken at last years WFC. Said young lady spent an evening riding around Joliet in my truck flashing and mooning the rest of the Lightning contingent. (I bet there are 20 more Lightnings showing up after reading that) See what you'll miss?

Fishing and boating
Mountain Biking
Fixing GreenBean (my poor old truck)
Gran Tourismo 2
Working out
Softball
Cooking (I make the best Gumbo)
2 steppin - come on, don't all of us Texans?

Jeff, by all means, tell me why out of EVERYBODY ELSE on this board you think I would be the one who would care about half naked chics on the hoods of Lightnings...?? All I was saying was I wouldn't be one of them.
CA
After I went back to the board and read that I realized how snotty it sounded hehe No snot intended *Have a Kleenex on me* hehe

Cool

Christy - Just a reference to your comment about not being ON your Lightning for the pictures... It resurrected a memory and I thought I'd let you know that such pictures would not be without precedence nor would they be unappreciated!

And besides, weren't you the one hooking up with somebody's wife on another thread?!?!

HMMMM.
I see a lot of interests, which I have also, but I never considered them hobbies.

Actually, for over 30 years, I have collected photos, books, reference materiel and so on regarding the history of wheeled military vehicles. How is that for exotic!
During that time, I made hundreds if not thousands of friends all over the world who had a similar interest and was priveledged to visit many of them on all continents when I was with Volvo and Saab.

I don't include it in my signature, but I also own a Dutch M38AI Jeep, a Dutch Land Rover Pickup (Diesel) a Volvo 4x4 Staff Car ca. 1950 and a German Ford Taunus Ambulance ca. 1960 that are stored at a friends farm in CT. All are legit military vehicles.

My library on the subject takes up about 60 running feet of bookshelves and perhaps 20 large filing cabinets of written materiel.

Of course, my current passion and money pit is Mobey ****, so the above hobby is more or less put on permanent hold.

AAARGH!!!!!!!!!

Moby xxxx is not a bad thing to say Steve, darn it. What if your name is **** as opposed to Richard??

BTW, Christy Ann, my bride of 40 years, Pat, is always there to tell me that I cannot even boil water, let alone cook something edible so we are soulmates in that respect.
Bill, whose Lightning is known as Moby ****.

Hehe I figure as long as we keep roastin' the tires and eating R/Ts we're cooking just right and we'll all convoy to McDonalds for dinner, am I right?

Racing Offshore Powerboats
General Boating
Motorcycles
Golf
The Internet (since '86 and I've yet to make serious money on it , too busy racing those damn boats, cars and bikes )

Did I say boats yet?

Sandy, I know what you mean about the stereo system. My affliction started with a Dynaco 60 that I built in High School. I recently retired the Marantz 240's and Dahlquists and consolidated my systems into a kick *** home theater. I just don't get the time to listen any more with all these motorized activities but the occasional movie is a nice diversion.
