Guys,

Sal isn't usually the type to rely too heavily on the SOTP meter. Knowing his methods, he probably already has dyno time scheduled to give quantitative information on just what the system does or does not do. It's all part of his craftsman's approach to his art.

almost went insane getting the bassani installed for friday night racing and then,
we get a thunder storm!!! its not suppose to do that in delaware in feb. sched won't allow me to get back for several weeks.

initial opinions on the bassani: like sal it is louder than i thought it would be, though
i've never had a after market exhaust before.
it sounds good it's just that stock is so amazingly quiet. i just hope i get used to it. seat of pants says more horses, not sure
about torque. i want to hear from the lightning tuner about his performance observations. you didn't take it off sal did you? want to hear from longer term bassani guys too.

'99 Bassani owners,

Do any of you know if the Bassani H-pipe would bolt up to the stock cat-back system? I've got a couple of hot-rods. I'd rather keep my truck quiet, to be honest.

Although, like Sal I believe with just a decent upgrade in the exhaust, the truck will go 12s on a good day.

Thanks

Hey Wes, Sal here. All 3 parts (headers, catpipes, and cat back) of the Bassani system are OE replacement parts, and will interchange in any combination of stock/Bassani. For what you want, I suggest the headers and cat pipes, and leave the stock muffler unit on.

hey rob, nice to hear from you. i think i'm
going to do that test and tune on march 4th.
it's actually less crowded, been there once,
however it cost 35 bills as opposed to 10
dollars. maybe i'll have my psp filter in by
then.(do ya hear sal) rob & spiro, how loud
are the flowmasters? can't wait to compare with the bassani. rob, did i read about you
dyno matting your L? were you trying to block out the exhaust noise? will you guys be their for the test& tune mar 4th?
