Thumbs up Bassani BABY!!

Hey all, Sal here. I finally got my Bassai today (when you're a dealer and they give you a test system for cheap, you gotta wait for it..). Opened those boxes like a kid on Christmas. Only two words to describe it -- HOOCHIE MAMA!! I've used Bassani parts mant times over the years, but this system is just plain awesome. Those polished stainless tips ar KILLER!! If I can get it on this weekend hopefully I can get to the track to test it. I really think I can hit the 12s with just the Bassani and my filter/chip combo. Well, and the Nittos, but I've run them since the truck was stock. I'll keep everyone posted...

Question

Sal,
Think you would be able to take some pics of what the exhaust looks like. I still have yet to see a picture of the full Bassani exhaust (Headers back) If it's top secret and you would have to kill me then I guess I can go without. Laterz

Lightning Tuner
I'm glad you like your Bassani system. I had there Headers, and cat back system on my 93 Lightning and loved it.
I now have a 99 F150 4x4 with a Bassaini cat back system. They need to do some reengineering on the cat back system for the regular F150. It is to quiet around town, and to loud on the highway, plus I lost low end power.

Thumbs up

"Hoochie Mama" was Kramers verbal signal to George to turn on the faucet so he could spray the kids with water. i hope Sal's use of this phrase to describe 2 thousand dollars worth of plumbing is more successful than Cosmo's. He fell to the ground covered in 16 miles of silly string , with a limp hose in his hand, moments after blurting the phrase.

All I can say is the FULL BLOWN BASSANI XHAUST
is the only way to go. Don't even waste your money on these other systems that offer more for less, because it does not exist. You get what you pay for!

My Bassani was installed Monday. All I can say is WOW! My mechanic said it was the best fitting exhuast he had ever installed.

Question

I have decided that when I get my truck I am going to go with the Bassani's, too. I checked their web-site but they do not have a dealer locator or list of recommended installers. Can anyone recommend a good installer in the Ventura, CA area?

alphadoggy,

There's a guy in Riverside I'm planning on going to, named Randy Richie. The guys at Tuttle Click Ford referred me to him, as they didn't want to mess with a complete exhaust. They said he's the guy to go to for high performance Ford vehicles though. If you're interested I'll look up his number.

Hey Calightning,

I'm in NorCal too. I'm looking for someone to install my Bassani system. Where'd you get yours done and how much if you don't mind my asking.

Thanks!

Hey all, Sal here. I finally got to drive the 99 with the Bassani on it today (damn snow). I do have to admit that it is louder than I expected it to be based on what others have described. At idle it has a nice throaty burble to it, nothing like stock. part throttle sounds good, and cruising has a much less annoying drone than Flowmasters. At WOT, with the exhuast and PSP filter kit, it sounds like demons from hell have been released. I will have to get used to it, since stock was so much quieter, but I think I'll like it after a while. It sounds like a stock first gen truck, but with a modular V8 tone to it.
