Mark,

You are absolutley correct, "Hell's Bells", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", "Bang Your Head", and "Highway to Hell" would be particularly appropriate. Include Quiet Riot's "Metal Health" and Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" and there is some serious ear damage comin' at ya, I LIKE IT!

I cant believe nobody has mentioned Tom Cochrane's "Life is a Highway".

Seriously good rock for flying down the road...

Always got a little cranked up and ready to roll listening to these songs or bands:

Easy Livin..Look at Yourself...Sweet Lorraine and other songs by Uriah Heep

Stranglehold and just about anything else by Ted Nugent

Smoke on the Water.....Highway Star.....Deep Purple

Ain't that a Shame.....Cheap Trick

Day of the Eagle....Robin Trower

anything by Stevie Ray Vaughan

and anything else by that little ol' band from Texas ZZTop

if that don't get you revved...you must be half dead!

my .02's worth

Man...all of these songs really date some of y'all. I'll admit, there's a lot of good rock to drive to (Pantera, Ministry, Zombie, Type O Negative, COC, etc...), but the best is what's known as "Texas Music" around here. Guys like Jerry Jeff Walker, Robert Earl Keen, and Pat Green have some great live CDs to drive to. REK's "Live Dinner #2" is by far the best (Road goes on Forever, Gringo Honeymoon, I'm Comin' Home, hell...the whole CD). Give it a listen and get hooked!
