UK servicing & Hi!!

Hi

New '04' Lightning owner very happy with my new truck used as a work truck and is proving very good at it

Installed a Magnaflow over Crimbo and now sounds much better going to be fitting the Diablo tuner, pulley, K&N & lowering kit over the next month, so will be trawling the How to / not to's.

But in the meantime I need to find someone who can service it somewhere on the South Coast of the UK, i live in Bournemouth which is near'ish to Southampton, can anyone on here give me some pointers? I have done seraches but with no luck.

Anyhow, hope you dont find me tooooooo anoying

Nick

Hi Nick

Welcome to the world of Fast Pickup Truck's, Fast Women, and general information & banter here on the Forum.

Just down the road from me eh! I am at the London end of M3 Junc 3 just before the Road to Hell (M25)
On a dry day follow the trail of engine bits and oil from Junc 3 to my door

Anyone welcome here if your truck is red & loud - no only kidding we have no color bar at "The Madhouse" just has to be loud & proud.

Not sure on the service front down your way though?
Done mine myself - only reason it blew was lot's of WOT every day on a stock block - it was only a matter of time.
If you going to add bits yourself you may well service it too, it's a good learning curve.

Pro - Built motor going in any day now. BIG RWHP

Plenty of info on upgrading & tuning on here.

Good luck with the Truck - Your in for one 'L' of a ride.
Your welcome to call in.

Ricki

I don't want to direct you away from this great site but, look at this English site. there are a few "L" owners on there in England.

Hi there kerniki,
If you can stretch to travelling as far as M23, you should give John Simmons at the Cottage Garage a ring 01293 515538. Looks after My 04 L and at least 3 others that I know of.

Have fun with it, I know I do !

Kerniki

We (from Rebel V8 www.rebel-v8.com) are planning to go to the Pod for the RWYB on the weekend of March 25/26th.
It's the first meeting of the season. Details Here

We should have at least 2 HD's, one other L and Ricki if he pulls his finger out and gets his new JDM motor installed.

Lets go and fry some Rice

Ricki - think I'm guna servicie the truck myself as all dealers near me just are deep inhalers that scratch their chins I have serviced plenty of vehicles in the past but know that sometimes there can be some do's and dont's with certain vehicles (priming oil pump for one) on the changing oil front.

Is there any particular procedure for the Lightning? or just drain the lot fit new filter and fill up got all the bits from US automotive....

Cheers fella

Nick (ps - tried to join V8 rebel but no luck so far )

Nick, what problems are you having registering? Let me know and I will get it fixed.

We are also arranging a dyno day for Feb 26th at Engine Adantages in Witham, Essex.

Deactivated my firewall and also lowered the security settings within AOL software, any other ideas?
