3rd Times a Charm

Finally got hit in the rear hard enough to get a new bumper. Was paying to exit a parking garage and the women hit me from behind. She said her foot slipped of the brake and hit the gas. Funny thing is her husband is a State Farm rep.

Sounds like you will be taken care of quite well at least. I've never had an accident in the L thank goodness.

This sucks for a few reasons but for me it sucks the most because you put a lot of time and effort in your L and don't do what most of us (including myself) do and just wait for somebody to invent something and buy it.

I would hate people to if I were you.

HELL NO, I'm not putting a roll pan on my truck. With the force the last 3 people have hit my truck it would have damaged the bed without a real bumper. The good news is I will find a bumper locally and paint it myself.

The truck that hit me was a new F150, my bumper put a nice large dent in the front bumper.

That would be kind at this point, all signs lead me to believe there is infact frame damage.

1) Passenger side step is cracked (Not cap which is near the bumper).

2) Passenger side gap between the cab and bed it tighter than the drivers side. About a finger difference.

3) Passenger side ground effects are slammed up next to each between the door and bed. There's about 1/4 of an inch space on the drivers side.

Since she hit me at a angle on the right side of the bumper, it basically moved the WHOLE BED forward about 1/4 inch. So, I guess my truck will be going away for awhile.

Maybe it just shifted the bed on the frame. Maybe the step crack is from a support that didn't give.

I think my bed was more out of alignment than that from the factory. LoL. Take it to a good body shop and have the measure everything of course. -Mat-

Well... on the "bright side" if you do take it to a body shop you'll put a smile on the employees faces as they anticipate driving your truck !

TampaBlack99, off subject but where did you get the little cover for the whole in the bumper for the ball? I've looked all over for one!

Maybe if you practice on some women, you can work your way up to men one day.
