I just thought it was pretty cool that they make them, how long has the technology been out there for the commercial market?

It makes sense that it would cut thicker metals better. you don't have to worry about the metal warping from heat like you would with a laser.

the technology has been out for a while, but not until the past few years has the perfection been there. i went to a class on using the water jet and just over the past few years have they found an almost perfect way of cutting materials. like ive said before, this thing can cut half-inch steel with a completly smooth edge if set properly. this thing would be perfect for any cutting need for our trucks. im just giving the average guy the opportunity to get some quality cut work done at a much cheaper rate. to use the water jet i have it cost almost 3 dollars a minute to run the machine which doesn't include cost for abrassive, water, electric, etc...it can get pricey for the average person to afford.
