Chilly Intercooler with dry ICE!

Has anyone tried this setup. Is it too cold or not cold enough? I am thinking about making my own (under the hood) cooler and I would like to pack it full of dry ice and make it last for a while. I would like to know if anyone has tried it and if not why?

i never did because dry ice releases carbon dioxide when it melts, and you would need it in some fluid to get the best heat transfer. so you would look like a steam engine running down the track if you put it in water.

dry ice and water in a container with vent holes and a fan make a nice "smoke show" on stage for concerts

cheap but effective

You could seal up the container and run a purge line

remember when we had the ice boxes with the copper coil inside? the dry ice could work like that. but dry ice is expensive,,,better off just making a big mess at the track like most ice users do
