Heater Hose Leak??
Well I finally found the major problem with my gas mileage!! It was the cats. Seems they were bad. I have a couple of more questions about my L. Yes a search was done but no luck.
1. I noticed what looked like a water spot on top of my #4 COP. (rear on pass. side) Its a new COP. When do the heater hoses leak and from where ?
2. Could the wrong plugs that the Ford dealership (Champion Ford in Corpus) installed in my L have caused my cats to go bad? They installed plugs for a regular 150 5.4. (too hot) I used to have black soot spots on the ground and all over my ground effects after towing my boat. Since changing the cats my mileage has went from 7-8mpg pulling my bass boat to 11-11.6 mpg.
