Post NEW BEST W/O N.O.S.

Went to the track Saturday. Me and about a million other cars. Only got three passes in. Found out on the first pass nitrous bottle was empty. So I decided to run without it. Had two passes only .002 difference in E.T.

Here's the best one:

1.771 60 Ft.
5.161 330 Ft.
8.016 1/8 E.T.
85.08 1/8 MPH
10.497 1000 Ft.
12.612 1/4 E.T.
106.83 1/4 MPH

This was the first day with the new M/T Street ET's. They seem to work as good as the old slicks. The weather was perfect clear skies and mid 50's. Also long cool down time in between runs helped alot.

Hopefully the headers will be on for test and tune Wednesday. And the bottle will be full.

Running out of time before St. Louis.

NICE PASS

Are you letting it go into od, or high rpm in 3rd?
I let mine go into od. 12.89@ 107.62

I think I'll need a stall converter next,to get those awesome 60ft. My 60's are still high 1.89/1.93

Hope to go to next race!!

Jigawatt,
I run with overdrive shut off. Tried turning it back on at the end and went slower. I am in a bad situation going through the traps at 5700 rpms. I would like to have a little less gear or a taller tire.

Sorry about the double sig. tryed to update it and made the super sig. I've heard people get yelled at for too long a sig.

Bob
Since I have no other way to reach you and you are back to posting here is some information for you. I shared my source for the 15" wheels with your bud "Mike". I am suppose to get one maybe two wheels from the supplier this next week. That being the case my friend at his tool shop will index them for 5x1.35mm ( hey I make it sound easy but there are other things that will need to be done too.). Sure would be nice to have a choice over your effective gear ratio, tire width and compound. It should be interesting if it works, so much for the guru's that say you can't fit a 15 inch wheel. Bob, send me an e-mail.

HIGH RISK:

I see you have a manual pump switch for the intercooler pump.. What is the benefit of this ? Does the pump run all the time or is it controled by the computer ?

Much thanks..

I tried to send you some PROFS messages last week. Wasn't sure if you got them or not. PFA said you were sick last week. Like I said I am in great need of a taller tire. Ihope this wheel will work. Mike at Lightning Perf. asked me about where you got the wheels. I told him I'd ask you but haven't seen you since.

Big Poppa,
The reason for the man. switch on the intercooler is so I can circulate the coolant and run the fans while I am waiting in the lanes to run. The switch is a two pos. Switch in pos.#1 ON even if ignition is off. pos.#2 pump runs just like stock. I have found the cooler you can get the supercharger the better it will run. I even gone as far as putting two 5lb. bags of ice on the supercharger and letting the truck sit for 45 min to an hour. Pushing the truck through the staging lanes. Start the truck right before the burnout, stage and run it as quick as possible. It sound silly but I've seen .2 improvements in my E.T. by only iceing the S.C.
