I also noticed that (on my truck) the circled item in the pic is rusted. Is it necessary to remove it to paint it? It looks like it would take more time to remove it.
I didn't remove mine either. I removed the front bolt, sanded the rusty part of the valve down, masked off everything I didn't want paint on and sprayed it. Then I topped it off with Chickenears billet EGR cover.

What's this "EGR" thing you speak of?

Looks killer man. I did the molding on my intake too and love the look.

I get questioned alot about the molding on the upper intake, everyone seems to like it. Hey man PM me your number on NLOC.
