Unhappy Guess this Noise...

My L recently started making a funny noise It can best be described as an odd groaning sound that can be heard from the air intake area. Most likely coming from the blower area, but is heard loudly from the JLP box because it's so open. The sound only happens for a few seconds at a time and causes a slight vibration. It happened once the other day and has done it a few times this week, once at idle (for a few seconds) and a few times while driving (cruising, not WOT).

Is it possible that i'm starting to get a bad bearing in the blower snout? How would i check for this? My L is a 2000 and has 63k on the clock. The blower is NOT ported and has never been off the truck. I'd appreciate any input

Idle air controll solinoid. They make a horrible noise and will cause a rough idle when they start going bad. Very common problem.
