Not sure what part of Alabama you're talking about but this site has a lot of car guys around Huntsville (Decatur, Arab, etc). I don't personally street race but several on there do.

Yeah I took it to H'ville dragway about 2 weeks ago. I was very dissappointed to say the least!!!! I took it to Delk's Performance and had theminstall a 6# lower, NGK-6 plugs, new belt, predator tuner, and dyno tuned it. My dyno numbers were 396.4rwhp and 521.7rwtq. I ran a 8.50 on Nitto 555 NT's. I was launching around 1,000rpm. I tried to luanch at 2,000rmp and surprisingly my breaks held out, but the tire wouldn't

Well your gonna love this! It's a hardtop with the optional soft top! A rare find!! But, it wasn't him you saw. My dad lives in CA. He and my mom moved there about 2 years ago.

I know Wall Triana very well. I'm out that way all the time. I am a Realtor for Rise Real Estate. My first 2 closings were one houses out there. One was way down Wall Triana off of Nick Davis and Orville Smith. The other is off of Slaughter.

Sounds like a sweet Vette .
An 8.5 isn't bad, considering your on street tires and it was your first time at the track with the setup. I betting you can get it a lot faster though .
I'd be happy to help. Got a lot of spare parts laying around and a little knowledge I've picked up with my L over the years . Should probably register at hsvracing though... hate to clog the global L forums with local jabber .
