I realized last weekend when I had all 4 rims off on on my truck numerous times that my rotors are all warped (dam ceramic brakes)
Today I plan on ordering all new Rotors and Brake Pads, I'll let you know later tonight the exact price, but I dont see why all 4 Rotors and Brakes should be any more than $300.00, as for installation thats cake, maybe a 1 hour job total

totally depends on what kind you're putting on, cheapos, OEM or better. shops are notorious for overcharging to do brakes so i always do mine myself. it's super simple like Rob said.

300 is way too cheap. I would figure if u do it urself 600 approx for oem. but i might be wrong. that should be in the ballpark

You can do this yourself for less than $500.00. I just purchased 4 zinc coated/dimpled/slotted rotors from Rotorpros $300 shipped and Hawk Performance Pads from Summit front and rear for $150. This setup looks great and stops way better than the stock setup.

Oh and what ever you, DO NOT USE CERAMIC PADS. In less than 3,000 miles they warped the rotors on my Lighting and my 4Runner. They are not rotor friendly at all!!!!

Well Cliff, you're gonna have to elaborate on that. My oem rotors were damaged running ceramix pads. I understood the damage to be caused by the different thermal properties of the rotors and pads where the pads would heat soak the rotors in one spot while standing still, brakes applied. This uneven application of heat caused the rotors to warp and crack over time.

As far as brake jobs, I replaced all for $350 in parts for oem equivalent brake performance.

My bet is he will reply and say that what you perceive to be warping is buildup on the surface of the rotor....

Ok maybe WARPED was a bad choice of words, hehehehe
and Thanks Doug that was one of the best articles I've ever read explaining the real problem

I stand corrected and make this revision, my Rotors are $@#^*@ ,
With only 17 K on it all 4 have grooves, gouges, lines, heat cracks, pot holes, you name it....

And the question was how much "for all stock stuff"
AS Uncle Mole just said, it can be done for 350.00
Sorry I was off a bit

I took the Hankfan way

Rotor Pros Dimpled / Slotted Rotors Set 99-04 Lightning
#9904LGT $270.00 USD
99-04 Lightning Hawk HPS Pads
#HB299F.650 $64.39 USD
99-04 Lightning Hawk HPS Pads
#HB301F.630 $55.74 USD
Shipping, handling, and tax may be added upon checkout.
Amount $390.13 USD

unfortunately with tax and shipping it's $462.13, but I need it BAD so I bought them anyway, (@$%(@$%(@$%(@$%@($^%@($*%@$(@$
(should be here in a couple of weeks, I'll let you know how it works out)

You will be happy with that setup, Rob ... I run the HAWK pads on the
rear ... unfortunately they don't make the HP Plus in the stock
configuration, so I am stuck with the HPS Street material. Oh Well...
