JDM midpipes

The stainless steel straight pipes we use are a very expensive piece, its T304 Stainless and it also comes with a stainless flange on the end. The Cats we buy more quantity of, buy in bulk its always cheaper, and come with just a steel flange on the end. So actually cost wise the straight pipes are more expensive to us. I know it seems backwards but we should actually charge more from a buisness stand point since they do cost us more, but we dont, we just keep them the same price. Hope this explains it!

If they cost so much to fab then why is so much extra length used which is then waste? From flange to the first bend in the system is 10-12" max yet these cat pipes are 2' long? For 190 I would expect them to bolt in. To have catless and catted midpipes the same cost makes zero sense with cnc cut flanges or not. I don't see why they can't be like the 2 pipes pictured minus the cats which would then make them bolt in and zero hassle.
versus this cut to fit and weld ****.. When I called to order which was before I saw the catted ones online I specifically asked if they bolted to the collector then slipfit and exhaust clamed in like the catted ones and was told YES. Which isn't the case.
