Popping noise

Have any of you guys heard a loud popping noise when you are in reverse and turning the wheel all the way to the left or to the right.Just purchased a Black 02' from Carmax about two weeks ago and it has done it ever since. Carmax told me it was normal, but I think otherwise. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, grease the steering stops. I also had the "clunk" after installing the washers. Dealt with it for almost a year before taking the 30 seconds to grease the stops. It works!

Hey guys thanks for the info you gave to me. I thought that my problem was unique to my truck, but I guess not. I used the link that Miclightning gave me and it helpped out alot. I could probably fix it myself pretty easily, but I think Im just going to get carmax to deal with it because the truck is still under warranty.

You will come out ahead just fixing it yourself. Ford never fixed them successfully.
