Welcome. I've had my 02 since 02, and love it just as much as the day I picked it up.

In your quest for information, your best friend is the search function. You will get immediate, in-depth responses to your queries.

Also, I have information collected from these forums on my web site. Mostly road racing stuff (suspension, brakes, etc).

Hey guys glad to meet you all. The color is red, they had a red one and a black one. The black one had a little more engine noise and made some sounds I didn't like so I picked the red one. It's an 02 and only has 23000 miles on it. It's bone stock (that I know of) except for being lowered. It's not slammed on the ground but I don't know if I like it lowered or not. I may end up setting it back up to factory level. It has a a tonneu bed cover and factory plastic liner. That's about it. Drove it for a while and it really screams. Is there anything I should be worried about as far as any mechanical failures? The reason I ask is because of right now it has no warranty.

Botton Line.

You picked the Red one because its just better, faster and gets the chicks.

Black one just look dirty 2 minutes after cleaning them.

Good choice and welcome.

welcome give it some thought before you buy the warrenty ,once you start mods most of it goes out the window, depends on what you are goingto do to your truck, if they void it or not.save all your old parts just in case.

Good lord man what kind of wax/polish do you use? I gotta get me some of that!! As far as warranty goes I was thinking of getting a 12 month bumper to bumper if it's not to expensive. I don't plan on modding it for a while that just adds to the crazy gas mileage that I plan on getting!! I'll try to get a pic posted up when I get it all shined up.

Congrats on your Lightning, and you got a pretty good year to! The only thing i can think of you need to watch out for is your Spark Plugs, you need to check them every oil change or so to make sure they are all still nice and snug.
