Oh sorry... ENVIOUS: (adj.) wanting what somebody else has. wanting to have somebody else's success, good fortune, qualities, or possessions.

hahah this thread has given me quite a "view" laughs.... You're completely ignorant if you think that L's can only run 14s-15s... If you can drive at all 13s are cake... Pullied, chipped, and a 75 shot should also net you 11s... if you think your bone stock srt10 is so must faster than an L, why dont you take it to the track and produce a few timeslips for us.... Maybe you should also go back to highschool and take a few english classes while you're at it so it's easier for us to pick you apart...

3timeLowner....I WISH TO TAKE YOU UP ON YOUR STATEMENT, "my wife has a GT 40 that will run laps around anything that anyone has on this website." O.K. here is a race you have to love since your wife's car is is so dam fast. I will spot you wife 40 car links in the quarter AND lay $10,000.00 cash on the line saying it won't be a close race. I would say your mouth over loaded your azz. The above is my real name, what is yours and when can we race? I am serious.

No matter WHAT you have - there will always be someone out there who is faster and badder than you are (whoever you are) or has more $$ to spend than you do, so get over it...
As for me and mine, I didn't buy my F150 to gofast, I bought it to be used daily as a work truck, tow truck, to be dependable, to go lots of miles with few mechanical problems. I also happen to like the looks of the new F150 more than I do the Cheby or the Dodge.
I like how the newest F150 is built, they seemed to have solved the crash safety issues from the '97-'03 generation, I really like the technology used in the newest 5.4, while the 4.6 is no slouch either in terms of driveability and power curve.
The '06 F150 feels comfortable and well thought out and SOLID when I sit in the driver seat and actually drive it, I think that the 5.4 feels and drives better than either the Dodge (even the Hemi) or GM/Chevy after driving all of them. I was surprised at the amount of throttle response the 5.4 had for a transportation / tow / work vehicle which is what I (and many others) use these trucks for. I can only imagine what aftermarket parts will do for one of these.
Granted, I would lose most drag races I was involved in, but I have outpulled others on the street from time-to-time.
Even if I do only have a lowly 1997 F150 4.6 that wouldn't outrun any gofast truck, it will get me there.
201,000 DEPENDABLE miles later "Built Ford Tough" still does it for me.
