Don't get me wrong, I happen to think the truck is real nice and pulls hard at midrange on up, but so many times I've observed guys knocking off 3 -4 tenths off their real time at the water cooler. I guess they think its not lieing as long as they keep it within the full second!
Exactly! I ran 13.01 stock and now run 12.01 w/a 4lber.

I love lightnings and I love the SRT8 WK.... However, being that I am 20 years old I will most likely be in a lightning before a $40k-45k Jeep. From what I have been reading on forums everyone that has them absolutely love them. Fastest stock time I have seen is 13.2, one guy ran his with a 30 shot and ran a 12.9. Hennesy is building a twin turbo kit for it, and other companies are working on superchargers. Shouldn't be too long before some SRT wks are in the 11s.

Happy cruising, you have great choices in terms of your vehicles. Have you ordered it yet? Do NOT pay over MSRP Some dealers have been listing them 5 to 10k over, but there are many dealers selling them at MSRP, call some dealers in the Detroit area, I've heard many dealers have more then 5 just sitting on the lot at MSRP.

One guy has one in Germany and has had it up to 160, supposedly with no limiter they should approach 170 stock. There is a way you can pull a trans plug and make it rear wheel drive. http://media.putfile.com/GC-SRT8-Burn-out

By no means am I flaming Lightnings, I love them both, I figure some L guys would like some more info about another fun fast ride.

the HEMI is fast. I owned one however they are a mid 15 sec in bone stock form. Also the HEMI is killed by the crappy tranny and all the restrictions they put on them.

So I guess you could say the HEMI is fast but the dodge ram is holding it back.

BUT WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY TOO EASY, chit I've had GT's put up a better fight

I'm crusing the Ave all of a sudden I see the fugly grill coming up behind me,
he pulls right next to me and guns it, I immediately started laughing saying to myself this MF has no idea who he's messing with. So I throw him the Thumbs Up and I proceed to make sure we have plenty of room before I make my move. The oppurtunity comes up, I pull up next to him, then manually downshift from OD to 3rd to 2nd, as soon as he hits it, I do the Jump out the MF seat and stomp it through the floor board trick, I'm screaming 20+ lbs of boost and like 55K RPM, needless to say I left him bout a 1/4 mile behind as I went through a gear or two. Then I waited and waited and waited, finally a few miles later we get an absolute PERFECT oppurtunity again, I down shift back down and wait for him. HE WOULD NOT PULL UP NEXT TO ME NO MATTER HOW SLOW I WENT.......

*****!!!!

Thanks Robert great Info

To answer you and DNB, I'm trying I'm trying, but the Dealers ARE playing games. This is turning out to be like the Mystic Cobra I tried buying,
they wanted 55K for that, NO THANK YOU.
This is that all over &@^$%(&@$%(&@$%(@$%(@$
I'm going to do a sit down with a differant Dealership some time over the weekend and see if we cant come to an agreement

As you say they run low 13's off the showroom floor, RAIN OR SHINE, some even caught hi 12's. I mean in Jeeps case schitt this is thee first ever performance ANYTHING they've had to offer, who knew it would have a full fledge Built Motor with Piston Squirters, Ported Heads, Oversize Valves, Cams, Tq Converter, SS Factory Headers, 2-3/4" Dual Exhaust, Dana Rear, Bling Rims, Suspension, killer sound system and interior, AWD and have more power than the original 426 Hemi Cuda
(with a Turbo or SC it should walk all over anything out there)

Well see, first I got to find a frigging dealer that isnt INSANE with the mark up

Awesome video!
I raced a Hemi regular cab a while back at the track. "Daytona" Edition with the wing. Best I recall he ran 9.3-9.4s in the 1/8th. Still smoked him though.
