aftermarket intercoolers for Lightnings
I haven't seen anything on this yet (search doesn't turn up much), so I started by contacting Tony DeQuick at www.chargedair.com to see if he has any plans for Lightnings. Chargedair has done some pretty sweet pieces for GNs. Anyone see any other potential offerings?

tvw and scotto,
after seeing the pic of the intercooler on the https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/003137.html , i have pondered contacting C&R to see if they can(or have) a setup taht will work for the Gen 2 "L". They suppley nearly all forms of race cars (from Indy/IRL to go karts) and are local for me on Gasoline Alley. Should enough interest be generated, I would be willing to see if they can work up a group deal. Key points for me would be:
1. utilize stock mounting points, not necessarily stock postion of intercooler.
2. ability of electric pump to keep up with improved flow.
3. Relatively uncomplicated installation.
4. Final cost.
Interested parties can notify me at speedinbob@home.com .

I'm in depending upon efficiency, looks, & cost. I would even be interested in an (extra-cost) option to hang 2-3 fans with a shroud (I mean if we're putting together a wish list here -- do it right, make it bulletproof, and do it once is my thought on it).

When I asked Tony of Charged Air the following question in email:
>>>>>
"Heat is a big ET killer in the 2000 Ford Lightning. The Lightning Comes
with a Eaton Blower and Water/Air Intercooler. I am looking for a Better
intercooler ( Just the part in the grill ) - Stock only works when the
truck is moving. Would love to have larger more efficient intercooler
perhaps with Electric fans for Drag use.
Can you help ?? "
>>>>>>>>>
The response was:
>>>>>>>>>>>
"We'll have something available later this year."
>>>>>>>>>
Looking forward to it
