Angry Brakes Like a Pig

My brakes squeal like a pig on steroids. Very annoying Owners manual says occasional squealing is normal...okay....but everytime is not occasional. NE1 know of something I can do to remedy this? Thanks.

although mine don't squeek at all yet at 17K, i was pretty hard on my other trucks breaks, and the temp solution was to spray down the rotors/pads with break cleaner, but usually once the pads are "glazed" over, the squeal keeps coming back, until you change the pads

The trick I used to use with my Volvos to break (brake?) the glaze was to really stand on 'em from 60 MPH+ a couple of times. It would work for awhile. If that didn't work, I would resurface the rotors and spray the back of the pads with a Permatex anti-squeel compound, a blue, rubbery substance. Make sure you let it dry completely before installation or it doesn't do any good.

I was wondering if upgrading the rotors and pads would make a difference. I've owned several vehicles (mostly Toyotas) and this is the first one that's had squealing brakes with only 1500 miles on it.

Talking

Try 30 years of jet engine noise. That will take care of any squeal. Also, those annoying bird sounds and your Wife's voice!
