K40 w/Laser -> $900

That's true Daniel it does cost more, but you are comparing the undetectable version to a windshield mount V1. K40 also makes windshield mount detectors in the same price range as V1, but they will also pay for your ticket if you get one. Valentine does not although it is a very good detector.

Asdeman: There is no mention of them on the website, but according to people on my CLK board, if you call the Valentine phone-order people, and ask for a "B-goods" model, you'll get a refurbished one for $50 less than normal. That's what I'm doing. I also scheduled a tinting appointment for next week (metallic tint, 35% all around). Let's hope the tint doesn't cancel out my detector or affect my in-glass radio antenna.
