Post Z06 VS. Lightning

I think Hot Rod Magazine said it all. Now as a result of the comparison....the Z06 will be out in 2001 and accelerate right past the "BOLT" with relative ease.
Time to spend more money...again...

probably carrying the price of 2 lightnings as well. I love the vette, but would never trade my L for one.

My guess is mid to upper 40's. I agree, the two are apples and oranges and although I love both, I'm in the same boat. That is why we all have bought the L.
Even with the increase in costs and upgrades to the vette, our trucks turn more heads!!

So what? I bought my L. to tow my boat. The rest of the package is just icing on the cake. What's the towing capacity of a Z06? If I just wanted a vehicle for giggles I'd have gotten a Hayabusa, for 1/4 the price of a 'Vette. There's always something faster out there, but will it be as practical as an L? I doubt it very much.

Pd,

I'm also a frequent lurker of the Corvette boards. I dont think the Z06 will run 12 flat in the quarter. There is a big debate on there forum right now. They said it will run in the 12's. 12 Flat is a "strecthing" it with only 385 crank hp on Street tires.

More info from Corvette board: http://corvetteforum.com/ubb/Forum38/HTML/000132.html

alphadoggy,

After my dynotune I blew my car up.(at the track) I ran 11.8@121mph(2.XX 60ft) on my Fire hawk SZ-50's. I can email you my dyno sheet. If you really interested in my Time slip I will try to dig some up for you.
I have only had my car back for a little over a month. As soon as I get it tuned with the new mods.(8.8 piston, ported heads, ect...) I will hit the track again.

Roc, I don't really want to see the time slips, I'm not MAD, I'll take your word for it, I was just curious about what kind of times you were turning with all those mods.
