Post Plugs in bed

I recently removed one of those plugs in the bed that im assuming are used for wiring (they face the cab). However upon removing it, I cant get ti back in. Suggestions? How should i reattach theese?

Try soapy water. I dont know how they come out or are held in. They look like rubber and rubber likes lube. Dont use a oil based lube like wd40. Some dawn and water might do the trick

They go in but they wont stay in. Im looknig for a way to get theese back firmly in place.

If there is an inner lip that goes around metal make sure that is seating correctly. Liquid soad or silicon will help.
