Kenne Bell Users (who has a leak?)

Just wondering what the % of KB owners here have had problems with their units leaking oil. If so, how long was your blower down when you sent it back for repair? Did the leak cause any damage to the blower internals?

I understand that most likely many KB owners do not drive their trucks very often. I have several vehicles I drive, but I typically put 6-7k miles on my truck every year. I do not want to be pulling the thing off every now and then to be sent back for maintenance.

Just curious as to if this is a major problem (as in a large % have issues) and if it does occur if its just a minor inconvenience or a major issue.

Thx.

Mine never leaked. Had it about a year and drove 15000 miles a year or so.

Mine had a small negligible leak around the snout. I just took the snout off , ran a thin bead of silicone , retorqued and wala, gone.

I thought mine was leaking around the rear inlet but it wound up being oil that blew out of the oil seperator. FYI - I put 10,000 miles on mine between April and December with no issues.

I appreciate the replies so far. All the info is helpful.

Anyone else? There's gotta be more than 3 KB owners out there on this forum.

Mine was leaking sent it back to K/B and they told me not to run it so full...only enough oil to hit the first mark. It was leaking around the pulley bolt (vent hole). Since then not much of an issue.

No leaks here. My KB is less than 3 months old though.
