Does anyone know where to get the 3 SVT Lightning emblems fairly inexpensively? I'm talking about the 2 "Lightning" emblems that go on the front fenders as well as the "SVT F-150" that goes on the tailgate. I called Ford and they want $75 for the 3 of 'em. I'm also curious as to whether or not the Lightning emblems mounting posts match the holes on the 2000 F-150 (non-Lightning).

Go to the Downs Ford site they have them for about 16.00 each I think.

 

I can positively tell you that the SVT F150 emblem for the tailgate uses the same post holes as my L came from the factory with the standard F150 emblem and was changed without incident thereafter. Can only guess that the fenders are the same. Doubtful there would be a Lightning specific fender.

Check the classified ads on the NLOC website. Someone from a dealership is selling several sets of Lightning emblems cheap.

The ads were actually on the F150online classified section. Two separate sellers. one has two emblems (used) for $20 and the second has the set for $65.

I hope you're not going to be a "poser". If you're gonna put Lightning emblems on a regular F150 then you need something to "back it up" so to speak. Just don't give some riceboy the satisfaction of thinking he outran a Lightning when all you got is a 4.6! On my way to work one day I came up behind a Ranger with Lightning badges on it. I changed lanes and pulled beside him as we were rolling along and we both rolled our windows down. I said "that's not a friggin Lightning, here's a Lightning" and proceeded to blow exhaust in his face and lay down some rubber.

Yes, my plan is to later this year add a supercharger, and I've already got the Lightning 18" wheels. My truck will also be dropped a few inches, suspension beefed up and I'll most likely loose the gold accent color (replace with blue). So, I'm basically trying to convert my 2000 F-150 SC Lariat into a 2000 F-150 SC Lightning as best I can--since Ford doesn't offer one

LSTORM, I think you're misunderstanding my goal. I'm not trying to make my truck look like a Rice Rocket I'm spending good time and money to make it look professionally done. If I wanted to add a Flowmaster with a big 6" pipe and slam it with stupid body effects, I suppose that would qualify me. However, I'm not.
