Thumbs up From front to back

Spent the evening adding some toys to the L.

I took a bunch of pics for the Muth install. I'll try to get them posted with some sort of info.

GET RID OF SOME OF THOSE DECALS IN THE AIR BOX I had the taillight covers on my 99.I did not like them so I took them off.I feel they take away from the Lightning look and give it a Beefed up f150 look.I love the mirrors. .02

Oh yea ,I still have the rear tailight covers in perfect condition. They cost me $25 and $25 for paint. They match perfectly(white). If anybody likes them,They can have them just pay for shipping.First to reply gets them

Cool

Well, it only gets more expensive from there. What is that box around the air filter? Does it act as a heat shield between the air intake and radiator coolant reservoir? Remember - everything in moderation (yeah - listen to me, cough, cough). Nice pics.

Have you had any takers on the taillight covers? If they are like the ones on the post, I'll take them. Thanks.

If already taken, Hwy_2_L where did you get the covers from?

They are made by V-tech.They are the best tailight covers out there. They completly conform to the taillights and dont stick out like GTS do.They are held on by 2 sided tape. And yes the 99 are the same as 2000.Just the insides of the lights are different.the outside is the same.Especially with black,Im sure you can paint them with spray duplicolor.they will match perfectly.I did it with my silver ones for my chevy. They matched perfect.I just did not want to take a chance with white .There are way too many shades of white. They are less than a pound with box and all.real cheap shipping.Hope you enjoy them!

Everything in moderation...
Keep that thought, apply the accelerator in moderation on Friday.

Stare at the spiral

and Repeat after me
"not too much throttle or my tires will spin"
" GO on 3rd green light "
"not too much throttle or my tires will spin"
" GO on 3rd green light "
"not too much throttle or my tires will spin"
" GO on 3rd green light "

I think the tailight covers look slick on the white L's! of course I'm biased... but this was the only appearance mod I've done so far.

I also love the way they look,Especially on the white F150s.My problem was ,When I put them on ,My truck lost the Lightning look and looked like a Sporty F150.Just my opinion.I would not have spent $50 on them if I didnt think they would have looked good.I still think they look kick a$$ on F150s.Just not mine

What about smoked tail light covers? Anyone done those? I think they would look killer on a black truck, like MINE! Gotta look harder to find em.

BEARIT - The Airaid kit came from the on-line store. The S&B filter came through a group buy done by some of the folks on the board. The group buy is over but you can look at https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/003354.html
or https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/003379.html
for info on where it came from.
