I can't stop driving it. *sigh* Got it on March 24th, and put 4400mi on it! (and I take the TRAIN to work!!)

Anyone else find themselves having a hard time resisting the urge of just driving around for an hour every day?

Yes, I'm addicted too! Even the sky-high gasoline prices haven't stopped me.

I think my other vehicles are probably getting jealous of the time I spend with my black beauty.

 

One year, 20000+ miles and the feeling is the same. Do I need therapy?

Came home with me on March 29th with 11 miles.
Last monday the clock turned 9000.
Its hopeless guys...
Geez I really feel for you guys that arent retired.

Well some of us don't have as much of a commute to work (self-employed, office out of my home)... but a tell-tale sign that my L is my daily-driven vehicle of "choice" would be that my old daily driver ('96 Cobra) has only 1000 miles put on it since Jan. '00 and only 2500 miles since I bought my L last Aug. '99.

The L has 7500 miles in 10 months of ownership.

My gas guage has not gotten below 3/4 of a tank. If I can't think of a reason to go somewhere in the L, I go get gas. Thought I was the only one.

Who else besides me hates to drive anything else. My wife has a custom Suburban that I thought was a great ride... before I got the L. When salesmen come to take me to lunch, I make them go with me!

Hi, my name is Rob and I am a Lightning junkie... My friends think I have lost it! I have a 53f100 with a big block and a nice HD, that I have not ridden or started since I got my "L"... When my wife and I go anywhere, I don't even wanna take her Convert Cobra (99). My new license plate frame is simple it says

Love affair, problem, sickness, or addiction?
1. I tell my boss that I go home at lunch to feed the dog (dog died a year ago).
2. There are never any items on our 'to get' shopping list. I sneak out a night and pick them up.
3. Go to the 25 cent car wash (that ends up costing $5.00) to clean out the fender wells.
4. Hose down the driveway nearly every night and end up washing the L.
5. Immediately agree to help my son install an electrical outlet, at 10:00pm, because I get to drive down Telegraph Rd. (Michigan).

Problem - nah! Sickness - nah! Addiction - nah! Love affair - yep!!

 

I've already got over 2000 miles on my L and have only had it for two weeks. Nothing like a fast, big, F-150. Enjoy your trucks; that's what its all about, fun.

 

I've been on Work Comp. since 12/99 with a Shoulder injury (right,right handed) had surg. 4/4/00 so not much money coming in and my wife doesn't see why I spend so much money on gas. HELP I'm runnig out of reasons.I've tried telling her I just need to stay in shape because I'm a truck driver. But she not hearing that any more.

I've had mine since nov 99 and have only got 6700 miles on it. To date I have thought I was driving too much. I better start driving more in order to keep up with you guys. The only downfall is the AMEX bill for gas. Average $120.00 a month. The wife hates my truck because girls just stare and strip when I drive by.
