you'll have to fix that BEFORE installing new parts, or you'll be back in the same position very soon.... constantly replacing U-joints.
We were talkin about ball joints (front), not u joints (rear). But in case you were wondering, the kit did include pinion shims and there is no problem there.

I did replace both lower ball joints today, balanced all the wheels, and did an alignment, and still have a slight vibe thru the wheel at 70-75 mph. All the suspension is tight. I cant figure it out! Anyone with some ideas?

I will know for sure sometime next month. Have all the parts, just don't have the time to install them.

They look to be dimensionally identical to the stockers. Even if it's not an exact fit, it must be close enough.

Steering joints?

Flat spotted or out-of-round tires?

Non-hub-centric aftermarket wheels?

Shot shock(s)?

Driveline vibration (it can feel like it's coming from the front even when it's not)?

I'm thinking that's what the engine builder said when he was assembling my block, and the reason it knocks in the morning...

Cool, I didn't know where you were in your project. I read that you're using Hotchkis springs up front so I'm assuming you'll also use a thicker isolator since the Belltech's seem to produce a fairly dramatic drop?

I'm gonna do the same with spindles and ditch my WC lowers, but I do want a stiffer rate w/out the big drop...I'd like to get 16"-16.5" up front.

Thats my point - There are 5 options and the descriptions are not "descriptive" of whats different between them. The simple among us wonder why we are given 5 options..

Summit's decriptions are always f*cked.

Go to rockauto.com. No confusion there.

I'm probably going back to the stock springs (with stock car rubbers to increase the rate).

im having the same problem with my ball joints

i have an 02 lightning with 19,000 miles and both my upper and lower ball joints are screwed along with my control arm boots.

i threw a ground force 1/3 drop a few months ago and a set of 22's for looks, dont know if they had anything to do with it.
