To all of my fellow Southeastern Michigan Lightning owners
If you did not make it to Milan Dragway tonight be thankful. I have never complained about this place before but did they ever put it to the little guy tonight. If you were racing on street tires there tonight ( in actuality you weren't racing you were watching) you got hosed. I have never heard and seen a group of people that were so PO'd. Car with slicks, motorcycles, and jr. dragsters were getting to make their run over and over again while guys with street tires were lined-up watching and waiting. I waited over 1 hour and 45 minutes and did not get to make a pass (I did make some passes earlier in the evening) the fellow in front of me never got to make a pass the whole evening. He paid his twenty bucks and got to wait in line. It will be a while before I go back there.

Milan sucks!
Good thing I didn't head out. It was drizzling in Dearborn at 5:30 so I didn't go. Sounds like I didn't miss anything!

I got a response from Milan.
---------------------------------------------
We apologize for the inconvenience. The reasoning for the "street tire" cars
sitting in the lanes for what appeared to be an extended amount of time, was
that earlier in the night the precipitation forced us to hold the slick tire
cars in the lanes, keeping their safety in mind. It seems that you were not
there until later when the street tire cars were held in the lanes for one
rotation, and that appears to be when you had your tantrum. The only thing I
can suggest is that in the future you show up earlier or test on Friday
Nights when we run later.
Thanks
Eric

I read their reply. What they forget is that I was taking photos, they are not only date stamped but time stamped as well. I photographed the slick cars running for quite a while.
This was my vantage point for much of Wednesday night.
Yea yea I know nice looking Charger.
