Post Just drop a pile of cash at Carparts.com

Had to have a cool boost gauge and that new Air/Fuel Ratio gauge, I bought 2 gauge pods a 2 1/16 (a/f gauge) and a 2 5/8 (because the 20 psi boost gauge only came in 2 5/8) we will see how they fit together (one 2 1/16 and the other 2 5/8).
While there I also had to get some superwhite head and fog light bulbs.
Call me Mr. Impulse buy...

hey Silverbullet,

What kind of gauges did you order? That boost gauge only in 2 5/8? sounds fishy!
did you ever get a chance to look up the pin location for the high side hego sensor?

Autometer, the 2 1/16" goes to 30 psi, the 2 5/8 goes to 20 psi. I call Autometer, because I thought that was stupid, but they said, yep thats the way it is. http://www.autometer.com/hp/index.html

This is the guage I got (the first one):

If you want Ford has a set of gauges that are both 2 1/16 and 2 5/8 they are white faced the 2and 1/16 0 to 30+ and 0to30- the 2 and 5/8 only goes to 20 both directions they say Ford Racing and that gauge it is like boost or water or oil. Priced close to Autometer. Tech Line 1-810-468-1356

I believe they are autometer gauges.
same thing, I wanted the 20 psi boost gauge...Like I need a boost gauge that goes over 12 even, the boost gauge that goes to 30 is a waste of resolution....

4rts2nv, I have a service manual and I can copy the pages you will need and send them to you. I'm pretty sure I know which ones to splice, but I would feel better giveing you the diagrams and recommending the splice, then telling you and possibly something not good happening...

SilverBullet,

The boost gauge that I have is an Autometer Pro-comp Ultralite.
The Phantom series is the only one that doesn't offer the 30 in.hg/20 psi gauge in the 2 1/16 size

Well, here they are, I wasn't thinking...

I will need to buy a 1999 Pillar cover, as the handle causes big holes, and you can see the pillar and the rivet nuts for the handle.
(Meaning if you intend to put a hand on a 99, you should pull you cover and see if there are brass rivet nuts under it)
One more started project with no completion date.

BTW: Autometer Pod quality is marginal at best: lots of mold flash, guage hole had to be sanded to put the gauges in, the fit is not quite right, the texture is different on the two different pieces.
---------------------------------------
If enough are intrested, these guys will build a twin or tri gauge pillar replacement:
Top Quality: <A HREF="http://www.mindspring.com/~lotek/products.html" TARGET=_blank> </A>
Sorry this is for a GN, but it is a full pillar replacement. Click on the pic, for the link.
Just send them an email, I've seen these on GN's, Typhoons, and Impalas. Awesome.

Mine is a bit more complicated.
As I have the A/F gauge, that I'm going add a switch to so I can monitor both banks.

Guys!
Lotek Engineering http://www.mindspring.com/~lotek/ is in the process of building a two gage pod A-pilar cover for the 1997 to current F150's (Lightnings too). If you are interested send them e-mail or give them a call. I did.
