Question Removing dealer sticker

Just wanted to know if anybody has the same problem as I do.When I went to pick up my L from the dealer on 5-19-99. they had already stuck one of their stickers on the tailgate. Have seen pics. on this site of everyone else's but haven't seen any stickers. I don't know why they would put something like that on a limited edition vehicle. Was just curious if anybody knew of a way to get it off without hurting the paint since it's been on there for over a year.

Use a hair dryer to heat it up. Carefully work the edges until it comes off. Remove any remaining glue with bug and tar remover. Lightly rub the area with polishing compound then wax.

Why O why did you wait soooo long?? I took mine off in the lot after failing to renegotiate a discount for advertisment for their dealership. No discount/no sticker

Thumbs up

I just took mine off last week (after being on the truck for about 3 months). I just picked an edge up with my fingernail and it peeled right off. Then I used some "cleaner wax" to remove any of the residue that was left. I didn't need a hairdryer or anything. If you do use one though, be VERY CAREFUL not to heat up the paint too much. There is a potential for damage there. Good luck.

I used my power washer, then a cleaner/wax to remove the left over adhesive.

Cool

Thanks for the help on removing sticker. Used hair dryer & came off fine & used cleaner wax to get adhesive residue off. Luckily no problem with paint.
