Aren't there holes behind the emblems on 97 - 03s?

Yes holes! Fill the two holes sand and paint to match. I would repaint the whole truck and clear it alot more than factory to get a deeper gloss shine if I went with no badges.

[QUOTE='[03bolt]']the trucks been parked at my parents for 3 weeks before it goes into the body shop (getting scratches and body damage from a storm repaired).

As mentioned above it would be a nice time to have the holes for the badges filled at the body shop, I did that on the rear of mine and just stuck one SVT badge on it. If I wanted a clean look I could just remove it.
Just a thought...by the way here's a pic of the rear.

Just got done replacing the emblems on my truck (the guy who owned it before me didn't believe in washing and protecting the plastic emblems too). Used a heat gun...first emblem came off PERFECTLY, even the sticky backing came off all the way....

Needless to say...the others weren't so cooperative. Both thumbs and index fingers are burned from rubbing/pulling hot adhesive tape.......

BE CAREFUL WITH HEAT GUNS!
