Post Rough Idle?

I got a problem guys/gals. I installed my Bassani exhaust this weekend and after putting about 100miles on the truck, it has a rough idle and also problems starting. Could this be a problem with the O2 sensors? There is not a check engine light. Anyone got any answers. Thanks

Did you touch or try to clean the O2 sensors? Also remember the 107 leaded fuel you burned? That will knock a O2 sensor out and could cause the problem you are having. The exhaust shouldn't make any difference to the idle, or starting. Check all you sensor wires and make sure they are still tight. Someone else had a similar problem and found a sensor wire off.

If you dont find anything related to a rough idle, it could be an exhaust vibration. I ran into this same problem w/ mine and though it was an engine miss, but was just the exhaust. Ford has a special service message for this type of repair. What I would do is, Loosen the converter pipe from the headers enough so that it can move, start vehicle and put into drive, rev to 2500, put into reverse, rev to 2500, then to nuetral and rev to 2500. Stop there and tighten the exhaust back up evenly. If this doesnt fix it entirely try loosening the 3 pass. side motor mount bolts, driver side motor mount bolt, loosen exhaust again, and rev engine the same as before.

Thanks for some of your responses (don't know about those first two. hehe) The truck quit doing it. Don't know what caused it, but its gone.

Your L must have snuck in and checked out the board. When it saw that the HALO boys were gonna put some tools to it, it straightned right up. After hearing about the first BNF "cluster****", I would too.

Hey Duck, I have faith in my L buddies. You should have seen the Andre, Alex, Noel, and I thrash on getting that ASP pulley off of my truck. How many L owners does it take to remove a pulley - 4. hehe

Question

What does she sound like, are you happy, and how long did it take you to install? I notice you didn't post any " do it yourself" install info.

No Caka, no install "how-to's", even forgot to take pic's. Was just concentrating on getting it on.
The instructions with it are great, real straight forward. The system sounds real good, I like it. Not as loud as 2-chamber flowmasters, but not as quiet as 3-chamber. Ya'll will get to hear it at next club meet.
