Hey Silver--you get around. Thanks for registering on the Corral. Come back soon.
We got a few Lightning owners over there too but I have yet to hear of one that will claim 13.2's or better with a chip and and filter. Oh well? the Corral even has the president of the National Lightning owners association in attendence. I have never seen him here. Oh well again? The more posts I read here, it really seems like this Lightning forum is more like Sal's chip and PSP filter forum. That's good for Sal I guess? So be it as long as the sheep are happy. JMO

hey betty all i can tell you is take your little fingers and punch up the popular mechanics website. now go to search and punch in acceleration nation july 1999. there you will find a stock black no chip stock filter lightning that ran 0-60 in 5.3 secs. and the 1/4 mile in 13.6. fast truck eh.you have to understand what i told you yesterday some lightnings are barkers and some are screamers. i have driven 4 lightnings 1 99 and 3 00. 2 were screamers and 2 were barkers. i just bought me one fast red pickup truck and i have no doubt that it will run low 13s with minor mods. hell i have a great barometer to compare it too my 93 or 95 r model cobras. happy bolting!

Hi 95rcobra,

Aside from the chip, I think the Level 10 shift kit is the most 'bang for the buck'! I am very pleased with the kit.

Later,
Jake...

Hey Mad'/Betty, wearing the slacks or the dress tonight? , BTW, Jeff (FMOS racing) posts here often, do a search He went 13.6 in St Louis, bone stock. ask him if he thinks an additional 4/10ths with only a chip and air box mod, is the claim of a lunatic.

#1.. There is no such thing as a 93 Cobra R.(Mad` got brain damage on this one) I leave myself tied to a tree and ready for my flogging, I think? Or I'll eat crow, whatever suits you?
#2.. I don't read magazines. They aren't even good *****paper.
I get ALL my info from the track. FYI--I haven't seen an LS1 faster than 13.5's, and I don't even know if they were stock. I have seen Cobras and Lightnings run all day and night and never break 13.99. Screw the magazines.

BBQ-- can't you be more creative than that? do you really wanna square off with Ol' Mad` in a namecalling contest? Isn't this about Lightnings running 13.2's with a chip and replacement filter? What does sexual preferance have to do with that. If you wanna go, then lets get it on...., you first there big man behind a monitor--fire away.... remember , I get to go second. As far as he coulda and woulda if he just...... DUH? I always thought you didn't run a time till you actually ran the time. Say I ran an 11.6 in my Nove but I swear its a high 10 sec. car sooooo, its a 10 sec. car, right? Bull*****.. hahahaha
Is this just a bunch of little kids on here or something? Geez!!
Mad`

Holy crap MAD, I can't believe you actually made the statement "there is no such thing as a 93 Cobra R". You just proved to every single person on this board what an idiot you are and how little you know. Maybe you should START reading some magazines.

Well, If I am wrong I will take the hit. I guess if all you sheep with a new car loan say I'm wrong about the 93, I concede. After all, I am a Chevy guy. We are kinda ignorant on Ford stuff. I do read MM&FF but I find it more boring than it used to be when I bought my Cobra. Sal, I thought we had an understanding? Are we back in the attack mode again? What a businessman you are huh?
