Mad'/Betty,
my apoligy if you took that dress/slacks thing as "name calling", but it was you, who selected the female username as a joke. i have never resorted to name calling on the net, and do not hide behind the screen and keyboard. you brought up the president of the NLOC and the fact that Jeff does not post here. I merely suggested that if you know him from the Corral site, ask his opinion of his 13.6 stock/13.2 modified, as he is testing all the chips on his truck for the fall newsletter.

#1.. There is no such thing as a 93 Cobra R.(Mad` got brain damage on this one) I leave myself tied to a tree and ready for my flogging, I think? Or I'll eat crow, whatever suits you?
Of course you are kidding? In 1993 five of us banned together and sued Ford Motor Co. for the right to purchase a 1993 Cobra R car. Ford was to produce 100 cars. We won the suit but Ford only had enough production to produce 4 more cars. One of us took a check from Ford for $10,000.00 NOT to take a car. The remaining four got a car. I was one of the four. Ford ended up producing 107 R cars for 1993.

Yes Betty, there is a Cobra R for 1993!

Cool

I hate to bring this back to the top, but for the record I haven't posted on the Corral in YEARS (though I did buy my Gen 1 truck from the classifieds there). I may have posted my Gen 1's times and web page over there at some point in the past too.

I don't know who you're seeing posting over there, MAD, but it isn't me (I'll be heading there momentarily to see what's up). I do post here when there's a thread that warrants it. Generally this bunch has the topics down, though, so why worry with "me too" posts?

And I'll let you know exactly what a stock Gen 2 truck will do with everyone-who-makes-one's chip in it - on the dyno AND on the track.

Mr. SVT, Albert and I discussed this LS1 thing today and we both concurred that we have not seen it. Albert drives a Lightning, ("Oh my God"). We don't go every weekend so its understandable. The best I ever got out of my Cobra when it was bone stock was 13.6 which is about average across the country. Why don't we all get together on a Friday night (you and all the LS1's) and sort all the claims out. I can't do it on the first friday night of every month cause I'll be class racing. Let me or ALightning know and we will work something out. I'll have the beer for the BS after the racing is done. I did the best I could with your grammar and spelling and I think I know what you were trying to say. see ya-->

4drthunder--not a troll at all. I owned an SVT years before you knew what they were. You are just insecure because you are slow and that damn chip won't do anything with the boost. *****!! What a bummer. I suggest you hang in the 13 sec class and get back on the porch with LQ.

Fordsales--- What part of "I was wrong" do you NOT understand. Do you kick dead horses alot? I've eaten my crow and sucked it up.. What else will please you? I'm a Chevy guy, I don't know all the Ford trivia. Interesting though, my neighbor brought home a 71 Fairlane Cobra with a boss 429 all origional. Now, this car has Cobra emblems on the fenders just like the new Cobras. I was shocked. The car looks like a Torino but it has a bench seat and a column shift. Everything looks old so it looks origional to me. A Fairlane Cobra? You know anything about this car?

I hope you werent referring to my post about lack of proper grammer and spelling. I will get you some LS1s no problem anytime you ask, but again I am not here to defend them. The only reason I refuted the claim was because I know it is false, as you believe the claims being made here.
Again, I say what is the deal with the double standard you make on this board towards the cut downs? No Response to this?

SVT was formed in 1991 stupid little troll. I think I can remember waaaaay back then. As far as boost no one has ever said chips had anything to do with boost so what are you imagining now? And anyone who considers the fastest production truck ever built as being slow just proves my point, s-t-u-p-i-d l-i-t-t-l-e t-r-o-l-l.

To bad you have to be an admin to veiw the logged IP's, could probably match a couple of the names up with the same IP.
This looks alot like the last bash thread a couple weeks ago, think Jeff at NLOC pretty much ended it with the Chip War competition scheduled for this fall.
Then again, this board wouldn't be the same without a good bashing every once and a while, and Sal, you have to admit it, this actually helped you, how many emails or phone calls have you got from people wanting a chip and air filter now.
Cheers

MAD, I'm the Jeff Sparkman, the President of the National Lightning Owners Club. I do hang out here, I don't hang out at the Corral, and I will be running dyno and track tests of all the various chips in a well controlled shoot-out shortly.
