Talking New best at Ennis

The track was pretty good I was getting better traction then the 1st time I went.
old best:
60 ft : 2.126
1/8 : 9.001
mph : 79.26
1/4 : 14.009
mph : 97.65

first run I ran a
60 ft : 2.124
1/8 : 8.843
mph : 81.28
1/4 : 13.702
mph :100.51

2nd run I ran a
60 ft: 2.126
1/8 : 8.823
mph : 81.52
1/4 : 13.660
mph : 100.89

3rd pass for a new best was
60ft : 2.137
1/8 : 8.779
mph : 82.11
1/4 : 13.600 OOOHH SOOO close to a 13.5
mph : 101.18

I'm very happy with the times. the 3rd pass i almost was hit by the drag truck they said he came within a couple ft from me. I think thats why the L ran faster. jk
THANKYOU SAL I LOVE THE COMBO.
now its time for slicks and gears.........

There were quite a few people there.
Yes it was very hot last night. I don't remember it going much below 90 deg. and we left right at midnight. It does'nt help that you have to wear long pants now.
Oh, this truck came off a trailer. I think at take off he pulled the front tires and lost traction on the right rear tire. thats when he came over in to my lane and just about hit me. The L did run the best on that run prob. because we pushed it all the way up to the front of the burn out pits. man that thing is heavy. I put it on the scales I think it was 4650 with me in it....
You should of come out Silver we had a good time once the sun went down.
Yes, next is going to be some slicks. I think I'm just going to mount them on the spare tire wheels. that seems to be the cheapest way out...

No question the cooler the better. I have pushed mine through the staging lanes myself a number of times. Not too bad once you get it moving

If I can launch with the temp guage 1/2 way between normal temp and cold and I get best times. The ideas bouncing around about extra fans or electric radiator fans with other fans on intercooler and tranny coolers will definately help
I will be going back out once I get ythe chip and filter

Well let me know and i'll try to make it out.Ya I can't wait until it gets cooler. If I can get some tires I could shave hopefully 2 more 10ths. That would be outstanding.
I think thats about where my temp. was on the 3rd pass. Extra fans would be nice...

Just FYI,

I had two friends make it down to Ennis last night. They are in Mustangs. One is N/A, the other is centrifugally blown. Different combos than the L, for sure, but some of this info is relevent to you...

They were both ~.1-.2 and 1-2mph slower than what they've run down there before. Neither of these guys race much in the spring or fall, either. Point is, last night the air was very, very thick. Your times are excellent considering.

Hey thanks guys I'm hopeing I can get into the 13.3's w/ gears and slicks....
Hopefully when the air gets better i can get into the 13.5's.
I think your right WA 2 FST a friend of mine went out there w/ me in his stang. He usally turns 13.0 -13.1's but could'nt do any better than 13.3's and .4's.

Hey Silver let me know when you get Sal's filter and chip I would like to know it turns out for you, with the gear setup.
yes, I am very happy with the way the L is running.

Autothrottle,
Good times, I would agree with Wes, I think your m.p.h. will be picking up, especially if the air was poor. There is lots to be gained with the right air...way to go

Geesh Great times.... You must be making tremendous power on the top end cause your 60 foots are not great. What happened with the drag truck ??? How many people were there ? I know the temperatures were high, cause one of the reasons I didnt go was I didnt want to hang out in the heat all night. Ironically I sat at out on the patio of a brewpub all night... I should have gone racing.

Congratulations, Just think what it will do in cooler weather !!

Doug
