I'm in the process of running new wires. Easy to do... The drivers side is the most dificult because of the parking break lever. If you buy one of those flex tools with the 4 prong hook where you push the **** to grab release the know to hold works great gets it done in 10 minutes both doors. Don't forget to pull the plastic parts off first and remove the 2 screws then pull up on the panel do not pull away from the door or the plastic clips will break then you will need a new door panel.

Crutchfield say to pull away from the door DO NOT do this. I went with 16 guage wire. I am doing it myself. I took the seats out as well as the carpet. If you need help let me know I will help you out with the install.

Are the standard speakers 7 x 5 ? if they are then I suppose it would be easier to replace with same but upgraded as i assume they would fit in to stock holes.....

I just put a set ( all 4 ) of POLK Audio DX-7's in the truck.. sounds alot better.. I was surprised the little 5X7's could keep up with the JL audio micro subs I put in back.. ( Two 8" subs )..
